When is the best time for whale watching in Sainte-Marie?
Humpback whales visit the waters of Sainte-Marie between July and September. Peak season is August when sightings are almost guaranteed. We strongly recommend booking well in advance as this is our most popular tour of the year.
Is whale watching safe?
Absolutely. Our experienced local boat captains follow strict ethical guidelines to ensure the safety of both guests and whales. We maintain a respectful distance at all times and never disturb the animals in their natural habitat.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a light waterproof jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, seasickness medication if needed, and a camera with a good zoom lens. Binoculars are also recommended for optimal whale spotting.
Can children participate?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome on this tour. Children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult are eligible for a discounted rate. Life jackets are provided for all passengers and safety briefings are conducted before departure.
